It’s Star Wars Day and what better way to celebrate than with my new found love for chocolate ice cream? Unfortunately, it didn’t even came close to the fantastic chocolate / hazelnut gelato I had in Rome, but practice might make perfect after a while and it was much tastier than the store bought.

I whisked 150 g of egg yolks with 5 dl whole standardised milk and some vanilla and poured it in a pan. When it’s hot, add a couple of dl of dark chocolate. After a while the mix starts to thicken, immediately cool it in water and then put it in the fridge, preferably over night. Then run it though your ice cream maker.
